Panthers' Kyle Love: Re-signs with the Panthers
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Love re-signed with the Panthers on Tuesday, Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.

The Panthers brought back the defensive tackle after Vernon Butler suffered a high-ankle sprain. Love was among the final cuts by the Panthers at the end of the preseason. He recorded 19 tackles and three sacks in 15 games with the Panthers last year, and while he isn't expected to start, he could take the field in certain packages and could potentially play a role on special teams.

Kyle Love: Released by Panthers
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Love was among the Panthers' final roster cuts Saturday.

Love, who posted 19 tackles and three sacks last season, signed a one-year deal to remain with the Panthers in April, but fell down the pecking order after the team spent its first-round pick on fellow defensive tackle Vernon Butler and signed veteran Paul Soliai this offseason. With established starters Kawann Short and Star Lotelelei around as well, Love was the odd man out at the position and will now look to add depth elsewhere this season.

Panthers' Kyle Love: Out of concussion protocol
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Love appears to have cleared concussion protocol, ESPN's David Newton reports.

Love was seen walking to practice Monday with his helmet in hand, indicating he's ready to return from last week's hit to the head. Having him available gives the Panthers another big body along their defensive front, where Kawann Short, Star Lotulelei and Vernon Butler lead the interior line options.

Panthers' Kyle Love: In concussion protocol
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Love is going through the concussion protocol after taking a hard hit on Tuesday, David Newton of ESPN NFL Nation reports.

Love was checked out by doctors on Tuesday and is still suffering concussion symptoms. His absence shouldn't impact the team too much, as he's near the bottom of the defensive line depth chart. His status for Saturday's game against the Titans is unclear at this time.

Panthers' Kyle Love: Re-signs with Panthers
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Love has signed a one-year deal to remain with the Panthers.

Love played 15 games for the Panthers last season, including two starts at defensive tackle, finishing with 19 tackles and matching his career high of three sacks as well. In returning to the Panthers, Love helps solidify Carolina's depth options in the middle of their defensive front.
