At least four Vikings expected to miss game Saturday

The Vikings are expected to be without defensive tackle Linval Joseph, linebacker Gerald Hodges, cornerback Jabari Price and tight end Chase Ford in Saturday's preseason game, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Joseph is recovering from a calf injury after being grazed by a bullet as an innocent bystander. Hodges has a knee injury, while Price is dealing with an undisclosed injury. Ford remains on the PUP list while recovering from a broken foot, but he's getting close to returning to practice.

Vikings defensive lineman Linval Joseph will return to training camp Sunday, after he was hit by a stray bullet during a shooting Friday.

Joseph suffered a minor injury when he was struck in the calf by a bullet in downtown Minneapolis, but is not expected to miss much time. According to, Joseph could return to action in the next two weeks

Linval Joseph OK after hit in calf during shooting

Vikings defensive lineman Linval Joseph was hit in the calf in a shooting following Friday's preseason game, the team announced Saturday.

According to a release from the team, Joseph was an innocent bystander to a shooting that took place in downtown Minneapolis, and was struck in the calf by a stray bullet. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated for a minor injury, and is expected to return to the team this week.

Linval Joseph recovering from shoulder surgery

Vikings defensive tackle Linval Joseph is not participating in the team's mandatory minicamp as he recovers from January shoulder surgery. Joseph told that the team knew about the surgery when it signed him to a five-year, $31.5 million contract in March.

Joseph was able to do individual drills during OTAs and said he's picking up the defensive scheme. "I feel like I'm not too far behind," he told the website. "I'm just waiting until the start of training camp, to show what I can do."
