| Redman takes advantage of PT: Pittsburgh RB Isaac Redman rushed for a game-high 121 yards on 17 carries during the Steelers' 29-23 loss to Denver in the AFC Wild Card Playoff on Sunday. Redman was inserted into the starting lineup in place of injured RB Rashard Mendenhall and posted a solid average of 7.1 yards per attempt. It was also the first time he has topped 100 yards in a game during his two-year career. He also had two receptions for 21 yards and nearly scored on one of several long runs. (Updated 01/08/2012) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| This isn't the first time Redman has proved to be a capable replacement as he rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown during the last game of the regular season after Mendenhall went down with a torn ACL. Pittsburgh favored the passing game this year, but Redman still managed 110 carries for 479 yards as he ate into Mendenhall's production. More of the same is expected in 2012 as the Steelers will work diligently to bring Mendenhall back from his torn ACL, meaning that he might not be ready to start the season. Redman could prove to be a tremendous Draft Day sleeper, well worth taking with a pick as soon as Round 9 even if he's only an early-season rushing option and handcuff to Mendenhall. A good offseason and a nice start to the season could earn Redman a lot of work. (Updated 01/08/2012). |
