Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Ends season with three TD throws
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Palmer completed 20 of 38 passes for 255 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception during Sunday's 44-6 throttling of the Rams.

Despite losing David Johnson to an unsightly knee injury in the first quarter, Palmer posted a respectable line by game's end, utilizing all weapons at his disposal. As evidence, Palmer targeted 10 different Cardinals, of which seven corralled passes. His favorite on the day (J.J. Nelson) led the way in receiving yards with 75 on a whopping 12 targets, but Larry Fitzgerald, Darren Fells, and Jeremy Ross were beneficiaries of touchdown catches. With playoff hopes dashed weeks ago, Palmer ends his fourth campaign in Arizona with a career-high 597 pass attempts but was unable to approach his career season from 2015, notching a completion percentage of 61.0 to go with 4,233 yards and a 26:14 TD:INT ratio across 15 contests.

Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Racks up 284 yards, one TD in Week 16
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Palmer completed 16 of 26 passes for 284 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 34-31 win in Seattle.

An extension of head coach Bruce Arians on the field, Palmer alternated between handing the rock to David Johnson and picking on a secondary sans Earl Thomas (tibia) to great effect, boasting a 29:27 pass-to-run ratio by game's end. The preceding did result in a 1-for-9 mark on third down, as evidenced by just three of 14 Cardinals possessions lasting at least six plays. However, the defense was kept honest by Arians' love of the deep ball. In one fell swoop in the waning minutes of the second quarter, J.J. Nelson darted down the middle of the field, sidestepped two Seahawks as he hauled in Palmer's pass, and finished the 80-yard touchdown strike. Outside of three connections with the budding Nelson for 132 yards, Palmer boasted just 6.6 yards per attempt. No matter, with Johnson, Nelson, and the ever-steady Larry Fitzgerald on his side, Palmer has as decent of a chance as any QB to end the season on a high note on Jan. 1 in Los Angeles.

Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Throws two touchdowns in loss to Saints
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Palmer completed 28 of 40 attempts for 318 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 48-41 loss to the Saints.

Palmer came up with one of his better games of the season as the Cards tried to keep pace with a high-flying New Orleans offense, throwing multiple touchdowns without turning the ball over for the fourth time this season. He nearly led his squad to an impressive comeback by engineering a touchdown drive with little time remaining but saw his opponent grind out the rest of the clock to doom him to his eighth loss of the season. Palmer has endured something of an up-and-down season from a fantasy perspective and will next face a tough Seattle defense on the road.

Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Tosses two touchdowns, commits three turnovers Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Palmer was dismal in Sunday's rain-soaked defeat at Miami, completing 18 of 33 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, he tossed a pair of interceptions and lost one of three fumbles.

The three-turnover performance marks Palmer's third of the season and pushes the veteran signal-caller to six outings with multiple giveaways through 13 games. Fortunately for Palmer, his turnovers only amounted to seven points for the Dolphins, who committed two of their own on the day. While the Cardinals sprung for one explosive play -- JJ Nelson's 56-yard touchdown run in the first quarter -- Palmer only directed three drives of 50-plus yards thereafter, which concluded with a missed Chandler Catanzaro field goal and his two touchdown throws. With the loss, Arizona is all but out of the playoff race at 5-7-1, but Palmer will attempt to salvage the stretch run of the season next Sunday against the Saints' 31st-ranked defense.

Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Throws three touchdowns against Washington
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Palmer completed 30 of 46 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 31-23 win over Washington.

Palmer had a quiet first half but tossed all three of his scores over the final 30 minutes. His third touchdown, a 42-yard bomb to J.J. Nelson late in the fourth quarter, iced the win for Arizona. He's been a little up and down this year, but he's now tossed seven touchdowns over the last three games. He'll face the Dolphins in Miami next week.
