| Carpenter to replace injured LB: With Justin Durant out Week 4 against the Cowboys with a concussion, Bobby Carpenter will start in his place at outside linebacker. "He's closing on a calendar year with us," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said. "Bobby is a very smart player. He has great size. He's got great speed. (He's) very, very smart.
