Belichick impressed with Darrelle Revis
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer

Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Thursday he has been impressed with new cornerback Darrelle Revis, reports ESPN.

"He has worked hard. Smart guy. I've been impressed with him," Revis said. "Very professional. Has a good understanding of the game. He's a smart player. He has a real good focus and instinct. He's a smart player scheme-wise, but he knows how to play. He's a very instinctive player. … On a personal level, I never really had a personal relationship with him. So I've enjoyed that part of it."

The Patriots signed Revis from the Bucs this offseason.

Knee no longer a concern for Darrelle Revis
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer

Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis said he's no longer concerned with his surgically-repaired knee, reports ESPN.

Revis tore his ACL in 2012, but he feels fine heading into this season.

"Yeah, yeah. That's not a concern," Revis said. "Even though that's been a long process, it's not a concern. I'm moving great and happy to be where I'm at physically. I just want to keep building on top of that to get ready for the season."

Darrelle Revis happy to be in New England
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer

Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis, a long-time member of the Jets, said he's fitting in with his new team, reports ESPN.

"When you're on the outside looking in, when you're playing with another organization, you look at things totally different," Revis said. "Especially coming from New York and New England, being up here, it's a rivalry. You look at things totally different. That's with any player. There are a bunch of guys that crossed over, and once you cross over and when you're inside looking out, it's a totally different perspective. ... Everybody here has accepted me as much as they can to make me feel like home."

Revis also has a different opinion of coach Bill Belichick, whom he once called a jerk.

"I think it changed the first time through the whole process, when I got released from Tampa, and then talking to teams and actually I got to sit down and talk to Belichick. I think it changed during that conversation, when me and him sat down and had a brief conversation. We moved forward and whatever we had in the past, we put it behind us. I think it changed during that moment," he said.

Darrelle Revis leaves practice early
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer

Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis left Wednesday's minicamp practice after warming up. According to the Boston Globe, it's the first time he didn't take part in 7 on 7 or 11 on 11 team drills. There was no indication he was hurt. Head coach Bill Belichick wouldn't address Revis' situation, saying only that "[t]here's a lot of guys that didn't practice today."

Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner fitting in
by Larry Hartstein |

New Patriots cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner are meshing well with the team's defensive backs, safety Devin McCourty told the Boston Herald. "It seems those two guys are going to fit right in very well," he said.

"Revis and Browner coming in there, we’re excited just because we know what they’re able to do. I think our focus now is being able to put it together as a unit, so right now, we’re just working out. We’re just getting to know each other, hanging out, cracking jokes in the locker room. I think this is one of the more fun times of the season when you’re just getting better as a unit."
