Falcons strengthen line on both sides
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer

The Falcons' first splash in free agency this spring was a big one -- figuratively and literally. The team has agreed to terms with defensive tackle Paul Soliai, formerly with the Dolphins, and offensive lineman Jon Asamoah, formerly with the Chiefs, ESPN reports.

Soliai was reportedly on the Falcons' radar for a while. A pure run stuffer, Soliai has missed one game over the last four years. Asamoah, a product from Rich East High School in Park Forest, Illinois, started nine of 14 games for the Chiefs last year and 15 games the year before that.

Dolphins haven't offered Randy Starks or Paul Soliai
by Larry Hartstein |

The Dolphins haven't made offers to re-sign defensive tackles Randy Starks and Paul Soliai, "and at this point it’s not expected they will," reports the Palm Beach Post. The team could be looking for a younger, cheaper option to pair with Jared Odrick, the report said.

Paul Soliai drawing interest from multiple teams
by Larry Hartstein |

Dolphins defensive tackle Paul Soliai, an impending free agent, has drawn interest from five teams, reports the Miami Herald. Soliai, 30, is a 340-pounder who clogs the middle and had 35 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble last year.

Miami has yet to make an offer to retain Soliai, the report said.

Dolphins healthy for Sunday game
by Marty Gitlin |

The Dolphins have placed 10 players on their Friday injury report, but only running back Daniel Thomas (ankle) is questionable for the critical battle against the Jets. The others are probable, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee). The other offensive players are wide receivers Brian Hartline (knee) and Marlon Moore (wrist).

The defensive probables are defensive backs Jamar Taylor (hamstring), Don Jones (elbow/abdomen) and Chris Clemons (knee/hamstring), linebacker Koa Misi (triceps) and tackles Jared Odrick (wrist) and Paul Soliai (ankle).

Dolphins in good shape for Sunday's game
by Chris Towers |

The Dolphins listed eight defensive players on the Week 16 injury report, but all of them were able to play Sunday against the Bills.

Despite being on the report, defensive linemen Olivier Vernon (ankle), Paul Soliai (ankle) and John Denney (illness) are active for Sunday's game, along with defensive backs Jamar Taylor (hamstring), Reshad Jones (groin), Brent Grimes (groin), Chris Clemons (knee, hamstring) and Nolan Carroll (knee).
