The Colts will have battle for starting spots at center and on the right side of the line.
At right guard, offseason acquisition
The one-year deal is worth up to $3.5 million, ESPN reports.
Herremans was released by the Eagles after spending his first 10 seasons in Philadelphia. He was due to meet with the Colts Friday. The guard re-unites with Colts general manager Ryan Grigson, who was a regional scout with the Eagles in 2005 when Herremans was drafted.
The 32-year-old told Pro Football Talk previously in the offseason that he's looking to play for a contender, after spending his first nine seasons in the league with Philadelphia. Herremans has ties to Colts general manager Ryan Grigson. Grigson was a regional scout when Philadelphia drafted Herremans in the fourth round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
Herremans was cut by the Eagles on Friday. The Eagles are set to save $2.8 million against the salary cap.
Herremans was a fourth-round pick in the 2005 NFL draft and spent his entire career up to this point with Philadelphia.
"Todd has been the ultimate professional during my two years in Philadelphia with him," coach Chip Kelly said in a statement Friday. "He is a tough player and I wish him all of the best as he moves forward in his NFL career. I spoke to him earlier today and one of the things I told him was that by releasing him now, he will have a full opportunity to explore all of his options around the league."
Herremans has spent all 10 years in the league with the Eagles. The move will reportedly save Philadelphia $2.8 million in cap space for 2015.
