Packers clear LB Mike Neal to practice Monday
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com

Packers linebacker Mike Neal has been removed from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Monday and can begin practicing with the team, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Neal underwent hernia surgery during the offseason, which caused him to miss the beginning of training camp, but he said the injury has healed.

"I wanted to practice the first day we had practice, but the timetable was set by Dr. and [general manager] Ted [Thompson]," he said. "It was just one of those things that they wanted to go through and watch me and see how it felt. We just made a decision in the morning we'd go with it. There was no need to hold out any longer. I'd been out for a while. So it was time to get back out there."
