| Jones likely behind Murray: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on NFL Network that he was impressed with RB DeMarco Murray during his rookie season. “We knew he could be physical. We did not know he could run between the tackles,” Jones said. “We didn’t see that a lot. But we knew he had the speed, could block, protect, and knew that he could really catch the ball.” The Cowboys drafted Murray in the third round last year, and he wound up as the team’s leading rusher despite missing most of training camp with a hamstring injury and then missing the final three games because of a broken ankle. Jones said Murray’s power separates him from Felix Jones. “He’s just harder to bring down than Felix,” Jones said. “Felix has the quickness, the vision and can get outside. But Murray did bring that dimension of power, and there’s probably not five pounds’ worth of difference between the two. But he finishes. He’s just so powerful into the finish. And there’s no question that he really gave us a lift last year.” (Updated 01/26/2012) |

| Jones is expected to open the season as the No. 2 RB in Dallas behind Murray, but he will continue to have a role as the change-of-pace rusher and third-down back. Plan on drafting Jones with a late-round pick, and he's a good handcuff option for Murray. (Updated 01/26/2012). |
