Kings to donate $1 million to say thank you to fans
Since the NHL lockout came to an end, teams have been trying to make amends. The Tampa Bay Lightning were offering season tickets for just $200. The Pittsburgh Penguins are giving away free concession items for the first four games.
The L.A. Kings are one-upping them all, just as they did last June when they won the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history.

That's a pretty big commitment and show of support, even if the majority of Kings fans won't directly feel this. It's akin to George Costanza handing out Christmas gifts that are donations in your name to the Human Fund. Except the Kings are actually donating money ... and a lot of it.
Undoubtedly, the Kings will have other promotions throughout the 48-game season in addition to this, but I don't think any will be better.
The Kings really are a championship organization at the moment.
