WATCH: Lightning stun Penguins with OT winner off Tyler Johnson's backside
The Lightning take a 3-2 series lead and push the Penguins to the brink of elimination with a deflection goal in overtime
The Pittsburgh Penguins had leads of 2-0 and 3-2 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, but a late goal in regulation and a shocker early in overtime has them on the brink of elimination. The Tampa Bay Lightning took a 3-2 series lead after Jason Garrison's shot deflected off Tyler Johnson just 53 seconds into OT to seal a stunning 4-3 victory.
Here's how it all unfolded:

Yep, Game 5 was won on a butt goal. That's just how Jon Cooper drew it up in between periods.
Garrison has had some overtime heroics this season and his shot very well may have picked the top-right corner if Johnson wasn't there. Either way, you have to credit the smaller forward for creating enough of a netfront presence to disrupt Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury who had no chance at stopping that with how deep his was in his crease.
The goal was Johnson's seventh of the postseason as he continues to impress along with linemates Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov who each scored the game's other two goals. Kucherov actually netted the game-tying marker with just 3:16 remaining in regulation to help the Bolts force overtime.
Perhaps even more stunning than the overtime goal was the fact that the Penguins lost a game after holding a lead going into the third period. In 46 previous games where they had a lead after two periods, the Penguins had not lost a single game. That includes regular season and playoffs. Make it 46-1-0 now.
Also, after losing Game 4, this is also the first time the Penguins have lost back-to-back games since mid-January.
This Lightning team has been something special this postseason. They're still playing without captain Steven Stamkos who hasn't dressed for a single game in the playoffs while recovering from a blood clot. Starting goalie Ben Bishop is out for who knows how long with a lower-leg injury sustained early in Game 1 of this series. They've still managed to make it to the conference finals and win three games against a team that has looked unstoppable over the last half of the season.
Sometimes you need a few breaks. The Lightning got a very fortunate one as Johnson parked his behind in front of the net and put it to good use.
