  • Coyotes' Shane Doan: Agrees to one-year deal with Coyotes

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(7/12/16) Doan agreed to a one-year deal to return for his 21st season in the NHL, Arizona Sports 98.7 FM writer Craig Morgan reports.

Doan has spent his entire career with the Coyotes, and will continue to do so for at least one more season. The right wing led the team with 28 goals in the 2015-16 season. As long as he stays healthy, the Coyotes captain will continue to be a viable option in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Coyotes' Shane Doan: Will keep playing in 2016-17

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/20/16) Doan would like to continue his career with the Coyotes in 2016-17, the Arizona Republic reports.

Coyotes general manager John Chayka explained that the feeling is mutual and he fully intends to bring the captain back in 2016-17. "It's just a matter of going through that process to reach a deal," Chayka said, "because Shane wants to be back. We want him to be back, and we're going to get something done. It's just a matter of time." Doan posted a career-low minus-29 rating in 2014-15, only to improve that mark to plus-4 this season. He also led the team with 28 goals, his highest output since 2008. Doan has spent his entire career with the Coyotes, and as long as stays healthy, he'll be a viable fantasy option in most leagues.

Coyotes' Shane Doan: Finishes season with 47 points

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/24/16) Doan finished the 2015-16 season with 47 points.

The veteran winger racked up 28 goals, his highest total since the career-high 31 he scored in the 2008-09 season. Despite his advanced age, the veteran winger still proved useful to both the Coyotes and his fantasy owners. He led Arizona in both goals and PIM (98). With one year remaining on his contract, next season could very bell be his last.

Coyotes' Shane Doan: Racks up 19 PIM in season finale

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/10/16) Doan missed a large portion of Saturday's 1-0 loss to San Jose after racking up 19 PIM while sticking up for his teammate.

The veteran winger showed his leadership by going after San Jose's Roman Polak in the first period after winger Tobias Rieder was hit hard into the boards by the defenseman. Doan entered the contest needing two goals to hit 30 for the third time in his career. Despite failing to register a point in the finale, the 39-year-old put together a strong season, recording his highest goal total since the 2008-09 campaign.

Coyotes' Shane Doan: Pots game winner Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/3/16) Doan scored the game-winning goal Saturday against the Capitals.

It was the 27th goal of the season for the veteran, who is up to 45 points in 68 games. Doan may be 39-year-old, but he showed this season that he's still a lethal goal-scorer. With 79 PIM, 12 power-play goals and 163 shots on goal, the fantasy stud is worth having in your lineup for the final few games of the season.
