  • Ducks' Ryan Kesler: Sets up goal, drops Kings' sniper with one punch

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/25/17) Kesler picked up an assist and dropped Jeff Carter with one punch in a second-period fight in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Kings.

The long looping hook landed right on Carter's chin and the Kings sniper dropped to his knee. The fight continued briefly when Carter got back up, but linesmen stepped in quickly. Kesler is having his best season since his heydays in Vancouver and he's putting up points and hits. Just beware his above-average shooting percentage -- there's always a chance his offense slows a little.

Ducks' Ryan Kesler: Gets two assists in shootout loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/5/17) Kesler set up both Ducks' goals in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Lightning on Saturday night.

At 32, Kesler is unlikely to return to the scoring heights of his best days in Vancouver. But he is ripping toward his best output since 2010-11. His 42 points lead Anaheim -- yep, he's ahead of Ryan Getzlaf.

Ducks' Ryan Kesler: Enters break with six-game goal drought

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/26/17) Kesler failed to register a goal during Wednesday's loss to Edmonton to extend his goalless stretch to six games.

The veteran pivot did collect two helpers during the dry spell, and it's difficult to complain about his production at this stage of the game. Kesler has 18 goals, 39 points and 121 shots through 51 games, and he's currently on pace for his best offensive showing since the 2012-13 campaign. Alongside his excellent supporting statistics (40 PIM, 87 hits, plus-11 rating and 644 faceoff wins), Kelser is back to being a solid fantasy asset in all settings.

Ducks' Ryan Kesler: Fourth career hat trick propels Ducks on Sunday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/2/17) Kesler notched the fourth hat trick of his career Sunday against Philadelphia.

A monstrous night for Kesler, who fired five shots on goal and logged 25:16 of ice time through regulation and overtime. The veteran center is having a fantastic season, notching 15 goals and 34 points in 39 games. He's become a must-start in fantasy due to his consistency and impressive power-play production. Given the fact Kesler is logging over 20 minutes of ice time every night and producing at close to a point-per-game pace, the former Canuck should be in your lineup every game.

Ducks' Ryan Kesler: Rewarding huge minutes with steady production

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/30/16) Kesler picked up a pair of assists -- one on the power play -- in Thursday's win over the Flames.

The Ducks have him playing massive ice time -- he's up more than two minutes over last year, including skating 24:12 in Thursday's game -- and the result has been a level of productivity we haven't seen out of Kesler since his heyday with the Canucks, when he cleared 70 points in consecutive campaigns. He's on pace to approach that lofty plateau this year, which is far in excess of the 53 points (a five-year high) he put up last season.

  • April 3, 2015: Ducks' Kesler Back In Friday
Kesler (elbow) will return to the lineup Friday against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.Kesler sat out Wednesday's triumph over the Oilers, but his absence seemed to be rest-related more so than out of concern about the health of his elbow. He'll slide back in as a member of the Ducks' second line, where he's expected to center Tomas Fleischmann and Kyle Palmieri.
March 31, 2015: Ducks' Kesler Gets Maintenance Day
Kesler's (elbow) absence from practice Tuesday was described as a maintenance day, according to NHL.com's Curtis Zupke.Kesler was sporting a wrap on his right elbow Tuesday, but at this stage it looks like the forward should be available for Wednesday's game against the Oilers. We'll let you know if that assessment changes, however.
March 31, 2015: Ducks' Kesler Misses Practice
Kesler, who was sporting a wrap on his right elbow, did not skate at practice Tuesday, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports.Per the Orange County Register, Kesler's arm absorbed a Francois Beauchemin shot on Sunday, but the forward didn't seem too bothered by the issue afterward, so Tuesday's absence could turn out to be maintenance-related.
March 29, 2015: Ducks' Kesler Records Another 20-Goal Season
Kesler tipped home teammate James Wisniewski's point shot past former teammate Cory Schnieder in the first period of Sunday's tilt with the Devils. The goal marks 20 on the season for the American, a feat he has achieved seven times now in his career. While his days of 30-goal and 70-point seasons are likely behind him for good, Kesler still provides a solid fantasy option.
March 29, 2015: Gibson makes 26 saves, Ducks beat Devils for 3rd in row
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) Nailing down the NHL's best regular-season record isn't the top priority for the Anaheim Ducks. Being ready for the postseason is.
