Argentina's president says he's sure Messi is coming back to national team
The soccer-loving president seems confident in the star making his return
Whether Lionel Messi puts the Argentina jersey on in an official match ever again remains to be seen, but there is one important person that feels confident in it happening.
Argentina president Mauricio Macri, per CNBC, has said that he is sure Messi will return to the team. The 29-year-old superstar said he was done with the team after losing the 2016 Copa America final at the end of June, his fourth cup final loss with his nation.

Now, it isn't certain whether Messi will ever return. Issues in the Argentine soccer federation, the failure to win a final and now the national team being without a head coach, it certainly doesn't seem like the best time to come back. Perhaps down the road with an eye on the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but Messi said after the loss in the final to Chile that he was pretty sure it was a done deal. We've seen many players return from international retirement in the past though. But Macri's words give soccer fans and Argentina fans around the world a bit of hope.
