Borussia Dortmund-Benfica aggregate score, highlights, results: Germans advance
Dortmund becomes the second German team in the quarters
Borussia Dortmund cruised into the Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday, beating Benfica 4-0 in the round of 16 second leg showdown to win on aggregate 3-1.
Young American Christian Pulisic stole the show early, grabbing an assist and the clinching goal with a cheeky effort early in the second half.
Dortmund, which wasted its chances in Portugal, didn’t do so in the return leg, dominating throughout the 90-minute battle.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat trick, the first on four minutes at the back post when Pulisic headed him on off a corner kick.
