Borussia Dortmund cruised into the Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday, beating Benfica 4-0 in the round of 16 second leg showdown to win on aggregate 3-1.

Young American Christian Pulisic stole the show early, grabbing an assist and the clinching goal with a cheeky effort early in the second half.

Dortmund, which wasted its chances in Portugal, didn’t do so in the return leg, dominating throughout the 90-minute battle.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat trick, the first on four minutes at the back post when Pulisic headed him on off a corner kick.

Then Pulisic scored in the 59th minute to make it 2-0 with this slick effort.

Aubameyang again scored in the 61st minute and once more in the 85th minute as the Germans switched its focus to more possession the rest of the way to clinch it.

With the win, Dortmund becomes the second German team to clinch a quarterfinal spot, joining Bayern Munich.
