The 2016-17 Champions League group stage is now set. The 32 teams battling for Europe's biggest prize were placed into eight groups of four on Thursday in Monaco. Here are the results.

All eyes will be on the strongest group, which is F, with Real Madrid the reigning champs and Dortmund with a shot to make it very far joined by a talented Sporting team, which is Cristiano Ronaldo's old club.

Barcelona being joined by Man. City means Pep Guardiola will be facing his former squad. The two-time Champions League winner with Barcelona, Guardiola is in his first year as City manager.

The weakest group appears to be Group G, which is good news for Leicester City, who should have enough to advance.

Group stage play for this season's Champions League begins on September 13-14.
