Lionel Richie feels for Lionel Messi. The star soccer player's namesake touched on the Argentina superstar's shock international retirement, which came after the loss to Chile in last Sunday's Copa America final.
Richie, one of the world's best-selling artists ever and a four-time Grammy Award winner, knows what kind of person Messi is just because of first name and tried to relate to the sadness of losing so much. Check it out.
Nice of the singer to offer some support. I'm sure Messi has been thinking about the loss and his penalty kick all night long (all night).
Maybe Richie backing Messi will have him dancing on the ceiling. Not likely, though.
