Hope Solo granted personal leave by Seattle Reign, timetable for return unknown

You already knew that Hope Solo wouldn't be featuring for the USWNT as she was suspended for six months for her comments about Sweden. But she was expected to play on Saturday for NWSL club the Seattle Reign, and well, that didn't happen.
The club announced before its game that the star goalkeeper at been granted personal leave.
Hope Solo has been granted personal leave and will be unavailable for today's match. Andi Tostanoski has been signed as a GK replacement.

It says she is unavailable for the match against Portland, but it isn't quite known yet if she will be back anytime soon.
Remember, it's been a rough summer for the goalkeeper. The national team was shocked in the 2016 Rio Olympics quarterfinals. During the tourney, fans yelled at for being so vocal about her concern with the Zika virus in Brazil (No cases of Zika found during the games). And then she made those unfortunate comments about Sweden, calling them cowards for their style of play, which led to her suspension. So, it is only natural that she just needed a bit of a break.
On the bright side, at least Solo didn't have the worst summer out of all American athletes at the Olympics. That, of course, went to Ryan Lochte.
