Jurgen Klinsmann named his 22-man roster for the upcoming USMNT friendlies with Cuba and New Zealand. The U.S. goes to Cuba on Friday and plays New Zealand in Washington D.C. four days later.
Here's the squad:

DEFENDERS (7): Steve Birnbaum (D.C. United), John Brooks (Hertha Berlin), Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Omar Gonzalez (Pachuca), Fabian Johnson (Borussia Moenchengladbach), DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle)
MIDFIELDERS (8): Paul Arriola (Club Tijuana), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Lynden Gooch (Sunderland), Perry Kitchen (Hearts), Sacha Kljestan (New York Red Bulls), Christian Pulisic (Borussia Dortmund), Danny Williams (Reading)
FORWARDS (5): Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC), Julien Green (Bayern Munich), Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders FC), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes), Bobby Wood (Hamburg SV)
Note: It was initially a 23-man squad that included Alejandro Bedoya, but he was removed from the squad due to a strained rib.
That's a strong squad for the U.S. for these games, but you may have noticed that Tim Howard and Brad Guzan are missing in goal. Howard is preparing for the playoffs with the Colorado Rapids and Guzan is in England with Middlesbrough. They are both the top goalkeepers the U.S. has and Klinsmann knows that, so here is a chance to give some minutes to other guys as results in these games mean nothing.
Also missing is Clint Dempsey, who was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat and will miss the rest of the season with the Seattle Sounders. His status for World Cup qualifying in November is not yet known.
The big question now is around Christian Pulisic. The 18-year-old has been superb for Dortmund and is reaching the point where it's going to be hard to not start him based given how good he has been. We will see if Klinsmann gives him two starts in this match.
