England came from behind to secure a vital 2-1 win against Wales at Euro 2016 on Thursday, as substitute Daniel Sturridge scored the winner in the 92nd minute. England trailed 1-0 at the half but saw two substitutes score, with Jamie Vardy grabbing England's equalizer.

How historic was that winner? Well there's this:

Pushing forward for the win after a poor draw against Russia in the opener, Sturridge kept tracking the ball after playing it at the top of the box, found a bit of space where it fell to him and made no mistake. Check it out.

It's a huge win for England who are pretty much guaranteed a spot in the next round with the result, as four points should be enough to see it into the round of 16 with four of six third-place teams advancing in the competition.

Though the match ended well for England, it didn't start that way.

England was the sharper team in the early going but poor in the final third, with quality chances hard to come by. Wales showed less in the first half, but all it took was one moment of magic to grab the lead.

Just before the break, the team's superstar Gareth Bale drilled a 40-yard free kick that Joe Hart should have saved, giving the underdogs the 1-0 lead.

In the second half and facing pressure, England manager Roy Hodgson switched things up, taking off Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling for Vardy and Sturridge, and boy did it pay off.

After Vardy finished from close early in the second half to draw level, England pressed forward but couldn't find that golden chance ... until late.

Sturridge's goal lifts England into first place in the group with four points, followed by Wales and Slovakia with three and Russia with one.
