What to Know

An Atlantic 10 battle is on tap between the Duquesne Dukes and the Richmond Spiders at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. The teams split their matchups last year, with Richmond winning the first 79-72 at home and Duquesne taking the second 67-62.

The Dukes found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 77-53 punch to the gut against the Saint Louis Billikens this past Saturday. Forward Kevin Easley Jr. wasn't much of a difference maker for Duquesne; Easley Jr. finished with 11 points on 4-for-10 shooting and turned the ball over four times in his 29 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for Richmond as they fell 64-62 to the VCU Rams this past Saturday. The losing side was boosted by forward Grant Golden, who had 18 points along with nine rebounds.

Duquesne is expected to lose this next one by 8. Now might not be the best time to take the Dukes against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past five consecutive games.

Duquesne didn't have too much breathing room in their game with the Spiders when the two teams previously met in March of last year, but they still walked away with a 67-62 win. Duquesne's victory shoved Richmond out of the playoffs, so they have a target on their back.
