Who's Playing

Virginia Tech @ Florida State

Current Records: Virginia Tech 10-10; Florida State 13-6

What to Know

The Virginia Tech Hokies haven't won a contest against the Florida State Seminoles since March 9 of 2016, but they'll be looking to end the drought Saturday. Virginia Tech and FSU will face off in an ACC battle at 3 p.m. ET at Donald L. Tucker Center.

The Hokies lost 78-75 to the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes on Wednesday on a last-minute half-court bomb from Miami (Fla.)'s guard Charlie Moore as the clock expired. Virginia Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of guard Darius Maddox, who had 13 points, and forward Keve Aluma, who had 14 points in addition to three blocks.

Meanwhile, FSU ended up a good deal behind the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets when they played on Wednesday, losing 75-61. One thing holding the Seminoles back was the mediocre play of guard Matthew Cleveland, who did not have his best game: he played for 27 minutes but put up just five points on 2-for-10 shooting.

Virginia Tech is expected to lose this next one by 3. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past three games, so buyers beware.

These two teams will surely be fighting tooth and nail to get back into the win column after losses this week. The teams are out to make things right after dropping matches they were expected to win, so stay tuned to see which team bounces back.
