What to Know

The NC State Wolfpack haven't won a matchup against the Florida State Seminoles since Feb. 25 of 2018, but they'll be looking to end the drought Saturday. The Wolfpack and FSU will face off in an ACC battle at 2 p.m. ET at Donald L. Tucker Center. FSU should still be feeling good after a victory, while NC State will be looking to right the ship.

NC State was expected to have a tough go of it on Wednesday, and, well, they did. They suffered a grim 101-76 defeat to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Despite the defeat, NC State had strong showings from guard Terquavion Smith, who shot 5-for-10 from downtown and finished with 22 points, and forward Jericole Hellems, who had 18 points along with six boards.

Meanwhile, the Seminoles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 74-70. Four players on FSU scored in the double digits: forward John Butler (16), guard Anthony Polite (12), guard RayQuan Evans (12), and center Tanor Ngom (12).

The Wolfpack are expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Wright State Raiders Dec. 21 easily too and instead slipped up with an 84-70. In other words, don't count FSU out just yet.
