What to Know

The Marshall Thundering Herd will play host again and welcome the Rice Owls to Henderson Center, where tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

The Thundering Herd were close but no cigar on Thursday as they fell 69-65 to the North Texas Mean Green. Guard Taevion Kinsey did his best for Marshall, finishing with 29 points (a whopping 45% of their total) and five dimes along with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rice received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 80-66 to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. One thing holding Rice back was the mediocre play of guard Quincy Olivari, who did not have his best game: he played for 29 minutes with and six turnovers.

Marshall is the favorite in this one, with an expected 4.5-point margin of victory. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past six games, so buyers beware.
