What to Know

The Tulane Green Wave and the Temple Owls are set to square off in an American Athletic matchup at 3 p.m. ET Feb. 27 at Liacouras Center. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The contest between the Green Wave and the Houston Cougars this past Wednesday was not a total blowout, but with Tulane falling 81-67 at home, it was darn close to turning into one. Four players on Tulane scored in the double digits: guard Jalen Cook (19), forward Kevin Cross (16), guard Jaylen Forbes (13), and guard Sion James (13).

Meanwhile, Temple received a tough blow this past Thursday as they fell 78-64 to the Memphis Tigers. Guard Tai Strickland just could not get things rolling his way, finishing with only six points on 3-for-10 shooting in his 29 minutes on the court.

Tulane is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the Southern Jaguars Nov. 13 easily too and instead slipped up with a 73-70. In other words, don't count Temple out just yet.
