Who's Playing

Sacramento State @ Oregon State

Current Records: Sacramento State 3-5; Oregon State 1-8

What to Know

The Sacramento State Hornets have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the Oregon State Beavers at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday at Gill Coliseum. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

It was close but no cigar for Sacramento State as they fell 68-66 to the Montana State Bobcats on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Oregon State found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 90-65 punch to the gut against the Arizona Wildcats on Sunday. The Beavers were surely aware of their 13.5-point disadvantage in the point spread, but the foreknowledge did nothing to prevent the result. A silver lining for them was the play of forward Warith Alatishe, who had 14 points in addition to nine boards and three blocks.

Sacramento State is now 3-5 while Oregon State sits at 1-8. A couple offensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: Sacramento State has only been able to knock down 39.80% percent of their shots, which is the 24th lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. The Beavers have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 50th fewest points per game in college basketball, having accrued only 65.1 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
