Who's Playing
Oregon @ Texas A&M
Regular Season Records: Oregon 20-14; Texas A&M 24-12
What to Know
The Oregon Ducks and the Texas A&M Aggies are set to clash at noon ET March 19 at Reed Arena in the second round of the NIT. The Ducks aren't favored, but they just beat the odds in their last contest, so don't count them out.
Oregon strolled past the Utah State Aggies with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the matchup 83-72. Guard De'Vion Harmon and forward Eric Williams Jr. were among the main playmakers for Oregon as the former had 19 points and the latter had nine points and five assists. Harmon had some trouble finding his footing against the Colorado Buffaloes last week, so this was a step in the right direction.
Meanwhile, A&M earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 74-62 win over the Alcorn State Braves. A&M's guard Tyrece Radford looked sharp as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Oregon is expected to win this handily, but they should have beaten the California Golden Bears Feb. 12 easily too and instead slipped up with a 78-64. In other words, don't count A&M out just yet.
