Auburn vs. Texas A&M updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Auburn vs. Texas A&M football game
The Auburn Tigers and the Texas A&M Aggies will face off in an SEC clash at 7:30 p.m. ET Nov. 12 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Auburn fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs last week but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 39-33. Despite the loss, the Tigers got a solid performance out of QB Robby Ashford, who accumulated 75 passing yards in addition to rushing for two TDs and 108 yards. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Ashford has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
Their defensive unit accumulated five sacks for a loss of 38 yards. Leading the way was LB Derick Hall and his two sacks. Hall now has six sacks this year.
Meanwhile, A&M lost to the Florida Gators at home by a decisive 41-24 margin. The losing side was boosted by RB Devon Achane, who rushed for two TDs and 122 yards on 16 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. Achane's longest run was for 65 yards in the first quarter. Achane's sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
This next contest is expected to be close, with the Tigers going off at just a 1.5-point favorite. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last week might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
The losses bumped both teams down to an identical 3-6. Auburn and A&M are both 1-4 after wins this season, but that symmetry won't hold for long.
