Florida vs. Florida Atlantic updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida vs. Florida Atlantic football game
Game Recap
The Florida Gators won the last time they met up with the Florida Atlantic Owls, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Florida took their contest against Florida Atlantic on Saturday by a conclusive 35-14 score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Gators had established a 21 to nothing advantage.
Florida's QB Anthony Richardson was on fire, accumulating 40 passing yards in addition to rushing for one TD and 160 yards. That touchdown -- a 73-yard rush in the fourth quarter -- was one of the highlights of the matchup. RB Dameon Pierce also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
No one had a standout game offensively for Florida Atlantic, but they got scores from WR Brandon Robinson and RB Johnny Ford.
The game brought Florida to 1-0 and dropped the Owls to a mirror-image 0-1.
The Gators will take on the South Florida Bulls at 1 p.m. ET next Saturday at Raymond James Stadium. Unlike Florida, South Florida will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Florida Atlantic, they will go up against the Georgia Southern Eagles at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at FAU Stadium.
