Florida vs. Samford: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Florida vs. Samford football game
This Saturday, the Samford Bulldogs are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 35.89 points per game. They will face off against the Florida Gators on the road at noon ET on Saturday at Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Samford should still be riding high after a big win, while the Gators will be looking to get back in the win column.
Everything went Samford's way against the Citadel Bulldogs last week as they made off with a 35-14 victory. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Samford had established a 35-7 advantage.
Meanwhile, pride goes before the fall, and it seems Florida saw their 20.5-point advantage in the point spread and came into their contest against the South Carolina Gamecocks with a big head. Florida's bruising 40-17 defeat to USC last week might stick with them for a while. The Gators were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 30-10. No one had a standout game offensively for Florida, but they got scores from WR Rick Wells and WR Xzavier Henderson.
Samford's win brought them up to 4-5 while Florida's loss pulled them down to an identical 4-5. Samford is 0-3 after wins this year, and Florida is 2-2 after losses.
