Kansas vs. Kansas State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Kansas vs. Kansas State football game
The Kansas State Wildcats are 6-0 against the Kansas Jayhawks since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. K-State and Kansas will face off in a Big 12 battle at noon ET at Kivisto Field at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. The Wildcats should still be riding high after a win, while the Jayhawks will be looking to get back in the win column.
While not quite a landslide, the contest between K-State and the TCU Horned Frogs last week was still a pretty decisive one as K-State wrapped it up with a 31-12 victory at home. It was another big night for K-State's RB Deuce Vaughn, who rushed for two TDs and 109 yards on 20 carries.
K-State's defense was a presence as well, as it got past TCU's offensive line to sack the quarterback five times for a total loss of 20 yards. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut DE Felix Anudike. Anudike now has eight sacks this year.
Meanwhile, the night started off rough for Kansas last week, and it ended that way, too. They were dealt a punishing 55-3 defeat at the hands of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Kansas was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 38 to nothing.
K-State is the favorite in this one, with an expected 24-point margin of victory. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last week might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
The Wildcats are now 5-3 while the Jayhawks sit at 1-7. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: K-State is stumbling into the matchup with the 178th most passing yards allowed per game in the nation, having given up 248.2 on average. Kansas has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 249th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 24 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
