LSU vs. Army Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the LSU vs. Army West Point football game
LSU will be playing the full four quarters on Saturday, but they're expected to have things wrapped up well before that. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Army Black Knights at 11:30 p.m. ET at Tiger Stadium. LSU will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Saturday, LSU took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 48-18 victory over Auburn. LSU pushed the score to 34-10 by the end of the third, a deficit Auburn had little chance of recovering from.
Jayden Daniels continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes, and also rushing for 93 yards on only 11 carries. Daniels has been a model of consistency, as he's now posted a passer rating of 170 or better in the last six games he's played. Kyren Lacy did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Saturday was a slow day for Army as the team failed to score. They took a 19-0 bruising from Troy. Army's loss continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Kanye Udoh put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 124 yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Black Knights were plagued by a slow offense and finished the game with only 3.7 yards per play. They were destroyed by their opponents in that department as Troy advanced 7.5.
LSU's win lifted them to 5-2 while Army's defeat dropped them down to 2-4.
As mentioned, LSU is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 30 points. This contest will be their eighth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 4-3 against the spread).
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday' match: The Tigers have been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 336 passing yards per game. It's a different story for the Black Knights, though, as they've been averaging only 143.5 per game. How will Army fare against such a dominant passing game?
