The North Carolina Tar Heels typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the NC State Wolfpack proved too difficult a challenge. NC State secured a 34-30 W over the Tar Heels. UNC can consider this payback for the 48-21 loss they dealt the Wolfpack the last time the teams encountered one another last October.

Among those leading the charge for NC State was WR Emeka Emezie, who caught five passes for two TDs and 112 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Emezie's 64-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter. QB Devin Leary had a good game, too, finishing with four touchdowns.

QB Sam Howell put forth a good effort for the losing side as he passed for one TD and 147 yards on 26 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 98 yards.

NC State's win brought them up to 9-3. The loss dropped UNC back to even at 6-6. With that, the Atlantic Division playoffs come to an end.
