Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech football game
The Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Tech Red Raiders will face off in a Big 12 clash at 3:30 p.m. ET Oct. 30 at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Oklahoma is out to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
The Sooners had a touchdown and change to spare in a 35-23 win over the Kansas Jayhawks last week. Oklahoma's QB Caleb Williams did his thing and passed for two TDs and 178 yards on 20 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 70 yards.
It could have gone either way late during winning time for Texas Tech or the Kansas State Wildcats last week, but it was K-State snatching the 25-24 victory. Texas Tech was up 14 to nothing at the end of the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead. Despite the defeat, they got a solid performance out of RB SaRodorick Thompson, who punched in two rushing touchdowns.
The Sooners are the favorite in this one, with an expected 19.5-point margin of victory. But bettors beware: they are only 2-5 against the spread when favored.
Oklahoma is now a perfect 8-0 while the Red Raiders sit at 5-3. A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Oklahoma is 236th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 16 on the season. Texas Tech has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 233rd most touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 26 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
