Ole Miss vs. Arkansas: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Ole Miss vs. Arkansas football game
The Ole Miss Rebels and the Arkansas Razorbacks are set to square off in an SEC matchup at noon ET Oct. 9 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Ole Miss was expected to have a tough go of it last week, and that's exactly how things played out. Things couldn't have gone much worse for them as they lost 42-21 to the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Rebels were down 35-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. No one had a standout game offensively for Ole Miss, but they got scores from TE Chase Rogers and RB Snoop Conner.
Meanwhile, the day started off rough for Arkansas last week, and it ended that way, too. They were pulverized by the Georgia Bulldogs 37 to nothing. Arkansas was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 24 to nothing. QB KJ Jefferson had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: he passed for only 65 yards on 13 attempts.
Ole Miss is the favorite in this one, with an expected 5.5-point margin of victory. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (2-0), so they might be worth a quick bet.
The Rebels are now 3-1 while the Razorbacks sit at 4-1. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Ole Miss is stumbling into the game with the 192nd most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up eight on the season. Arkansas has experienced some rushing struggles of their own as they are 210th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with nine on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
