Live scores, highlights and updates from the Purdue vs. Oregon State football game
Game Recap
The Purdue Boilermakers had a touchdown and change to spare in a 30-21 victory over the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday.
TE Payne Durham was the offensive standout of the contest for the Boilermakers, catching seven passes for two TDs and 120 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Durham's 50-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter. QB Jack Plummer had a good game, too, finishing with two touchdowns.
Special teams collected 12 points for Purdue. K Mitchell Fineran delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
No one had a standout game offensively for Oregon State, but they got scores from RB B.J. Baylor and WR Tyjon Lindsey.
The game brought Purdue to 1-0 and dropped Oregon State to a mirror-image 0-1.
Purdue will square off against the Connecticut Huskies at 3 p.m. ET next Saturday at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. Unlike the Boilermakers, UConn will be limping in after taking a loss. As for the Beavers, they will go up against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at 11 p.m. ET next Saturday at Reser Stadium. Like Oregon State, Hawaii is looking to wash their mouths of the taste of defeat after falling 44-10 to the UCLA Bruins.
