South Florida vs. Temple: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the South Florida vs. Temple football game
Temple has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the South Florida Bulls at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Raymond James Stadium. South Florida is favored, but seeing as the odds didn't stop Temple in their last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.
Last Saturday, Temple strolled past Navy with points to spare, taking the game 32-18. The victory was just what Temple needed coming off of a 55-0 loss in their prior contest.
E.J. Warner looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 402 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Jordan Smith also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, South Florida pushed their score all the way to 50 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Memphis.
Byrum Brown put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 357 yards and five touchdowns while completing 79.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 100 yards. Sean Atkins was another key contributor, picking up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Temple's win bumped their season record to 3-6 while South Florida's defeat dropped theirs to 4-5.
While only Temple took care of their fans the last time they played, both teams pleased bettors by covering the spread. Going forward, South Florida is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by seven points. For those looking to play the spread, watch out: Temple is playing as the underdog, but their 1-6 record against the spread as such isn't exactly encouraging.
Temple took their victory against South Florida when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 54-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Temple since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
