Southern Miss vs. Troy: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Southern Miss vs. Troy football game
Game Recap
If the Southern Miss Golden Eagles were feeling good off their 37 to nothing takedown of the Grambling State Tigers last week, that ride came to an abrupt end. The Golden Eagles took a 21-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans. Southern Miss might have entered gameday a little too confident, resting on the laurels of their 47-42 victory against Troy when they previously met in September of 2019.
The contest pushed Southern Miss down to 1-2 and pulled Troy up to the reverse at 2-1.
Southern Miss will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide at 7:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Trojans will hit the road for the second straight week as they head to JPS Field at James L. Malone Stadium at 8 p.m. ET next Saturday. Unlike them, the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks will be stumbling in off of a defeat.
