USC vs. Colorado Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Friday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the USC vs. Colorado football game
The USC Trojans are 6-0 against the Colorado Buffaloes since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. USC and Colorado will face off in a Pac-12 battle at 9:30 p.m. ET at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Trojans know how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Colorado likes a good challenge.
Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, USC beat the California Golden Bears 41-35 this past Saturday. USC's QB Caleb Williams did his thing and passed for four TDs and 360 yards on 41 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 38 yards. Williams' 59-yard touchdown toss to WR Michael Jackson III in the third quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the night.
Meanwhile, the afternoon started off rough for the Buffaloes this past Saturday, and it ended that way, too. It's hard to picture a worse loss than the 49-10 bruising that they suffered against the Oregon Ducks. Colorado was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 28-7. Colorado's defeat came about despite a quality game from WR Jordyn Tyson, who caught five passes for one TD and 137 yards. One of the most thrilling moments was Tyson's 81-yard TD reception in the second quarter.
The Trojans are the favorite in this one, with an expected 34-point (!) margin of victory. There could be an interesting gambling play in this one, as they have done quite well against the spread at home this season while the Buffaloes have struggled against the spread on the road.
USC's win lifted them to 8-1 while Colorado's defeat dropped them down to 1-8. Allowing an average of 40.22 points per game, Colorado hasn't exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We'll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming matchup.
