Wisconsin vs. Northwestern updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Wisconsin vs. Northwestern football game
The Northwestern Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Wisconsin Badgers at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium. Both of these teams will be coming in off a loss in a game they were expected to win.
The defenses reigned supreme when Northwestern and Iowa played on Saturday, rewarding bettors who took the risk on the low 31.5-point over/under. Northwestern fell just short of Iowa by a score of 10-7. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Northwestern was just barely outscored by Iowa in the second.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 20-14 to Indiana. Despite 83 more yards than Indiana, Wisconsin couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Wisconsin's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Braedyn Locke, who threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, and Bryson Green who picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 4-5, while Wisconsin's bumped their own down to the opposite: 5-4.
Northwestern is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. This contest will be their fourth straight as the underdogs (so far over this stretch they are 3-0 against the spread).
Northwestern was dealt a punishing 42-7 loss at the hands of Wisconsin when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Northwestern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
