Marlins' Joe Panik: Benched in fifth straight

Panik remains out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Panik's playing time looked to be on the upswing in the middle of July, but even with the Marlins moving a few other veterans ahead of Friday's trade deadline, the 30-year-old hasn't been able to capture an everyday role. He'll be on the bench for a fifth straight game.
