Padres' Jorge Ona: Moves rehab to Double-A

The Padres transferred Ona's rehab assignment to Double-A San Antonio on Saturday. He went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in his San Antonio debut.

Ona was cleared to make a jump in difficultly on his rehab assignment after he went 1-for-9 with a double and an RBI in his three games in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. The Padres will presumably keep the 24-year-old on assignment for close to the entire 20-day rehab window before reinstating him from the 60-day injured list and then likely optioning him to San Antonio or Triple-A El Paso.
