Phillies' Ryan Cordell: Signs minors deal with Phillies

Cordell joined the Phillies on a minor-league deal in late April, Baseball America reports.

Cordell has appeared in 121 games at the big-league level over the last three seasons but has done very little at the plate, hitting .202/.263/.328. The Phillies have a notable hole in center field this season, but nothing in Cordell's track record indicates he's the solution to their problems.
