Cordell cleared waivers and was outrighted to the Mets' alternate training site, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
Cordell was designated for assignment earlier in the week but will remain in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. The 28-year-old appeared in four games before being let go and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base.
