Sabres' Prokhor Poltapov: Signs contract extension

Poltapov inked a contract extension with CSKA Moscow on Monday that will keep him with the club through the 2024-25 season, Kris Baker of The Athletic reports.

Poltapov -- who was selected in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft -- will now spend a few more seasons playing overseas before he makes the jump to North America. The 18-year-old winger has registered three goals and three assists in nine games with VHL side Zvezda Moskva.
