  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: One of each Tuesday

McQueen scored a goal and added an assist in Providence College's 4-2 win over Brown University on Tuesday. McQueen had another good game for the Friars as he continues to put some distance between himself and his slow start to the year. The forward is up to five goals, eight assists and 29 PIM over 16 outings for Providence this season. The Ducks prospect should continue to shine on offense for the remainder of his freshman year.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Continues trending up

McQueen was named a Hockey East Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday. McQueen had two goals and an assist for Providence College, which split the week's two-game set versus UMass-Amherst. McQueen is up to four goals and 11 points over 13 appearances this season, overcoming a slow start to the year. The freshman forward should continue to be able to grow his offense, and the Ducks will be keeping an eye on their 2025 first-rounder's progress, as should dynasty fantasy managers.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Breaks out with three points

McQueen scored twice on six shots and added an assist in Providence College's 6-1 win over Merrimack College on Friday. The pair of goals were McQueen's first of the season. He's picked up eight points and 25 PIM through 10 contests to begin his collegiate career. The 19-year-old forward is a first-round pick (10th overall) of the Ducks in 2025, so it's good to see him hit the ground running on offense after stepping up from the WHL. McQueen has also stayed healthy so far this season after missing a large part of 2024-25 with a back injury. McQueen is a long-term project for fantasy -- expect him to use up multiple years in college, and he may need some AHL time before he's ready to help the Ducks.

  • Ducks' Roger McQueen: Joining Friars

McQueen committed to Providence College ahead of the 2025-26 season. McQueen was selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, so it's hard to imagine he will spend a full four seasons in the NCAA. Still, it's a strong addition for the Friars as long as the 18-year-old center can avoid any additional back problems. When healthy, McQueen offers strong offensive upside, racking up 10 goals and 10 assists in just 17 regular-season games for WHL Brandon last year.
