Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta and Cardinals first baseman Matt Carpenter go way back. You may have heard, but they were college teammates at TCU. In fact, Arrieta was a groomsman in Carpenter's wedding.

Arrieta also has held bragging rights over Carpenter for a while. After Carpenter's first at-bat on Sunday, he moved to 0 for 28 against his friend.
