SRX at Slinger results: Marco Andretti outduels Luke Fenhaus to win thrilling green-white-checkered finish
Andretti finished first, ahead of Fenhaus and Tony Stewart after a late restart

Despite the enormous expectations that were bestowed upon him due to his last name, Marco Andretti only won two races in the entirety of a full-time IndyCar career that lasted from 2006 all the way until 2020. But in SRX, the Andretti name has found Victory Lane once again after a late opportunity to get the best of a youngster on his home turf.
In a dramatic finish to the fifth race of the Camping World SRX Series, Marco Andretti was able to pass Luke Fenhaus on a green-white-checkered restart to win at Slinger Speedway. Fenhaus, a 17-year old Wisconsin native and the winner of the Slinger Nationals, had been well on his way to victory at the white flag when a crash triggered by Hailie Deegan and Paul Tracy set up a final restart.
After battling side-by-side with Tony Stewart for the race lead most of the night, Fenhaus had pulled away from Marco Andretti in the closing laps prior to the final caution. But with a jump from the outside line, Andretti was able to clear Fenhaus and earn his first victory in a major race in 10 years. Andretti's last victory came in an IndyCar race at Iowa in June of 2011.
