NASCAR All-Star race results: Chase Elliott wins $1 million by taking the checkered flag at Bristol
Everything going on at Bristol Motor Speedway

Chase Elliott became the 25th driver to win a NASCAR All-Star race on Wednesday, beating out the field to take the victory at Bristol Motor Speedway. Elliott was able to hold his lead over Kyle Busch in the final stage of the race for the $1 million cash prize.
The race was originally scheduled to take place during its usual spot in late May, and at its usual home in Charlotte, but the coronavirus pandemic threw NASCAR's 2020 season into a fit, and forced organizers to reschedule it somewhere else. As a result, Chase and his father, Bill Elliott, are the only two drivers in NASCAR history to win an All-Star race outside of Charlotte Motor Speedway. They also became the second father-son duo to win the All-Star Race -- Dale and Dale Earnhardt Jr. were the first.
Rounding out the top five was Busch in second, Kevin Harvick third, Brad Keselowski fourth and Denny Hamlin in fifth.
One of the evening's most notable bits of action came during the All-Star Open, a race where drivers had a chance to compete for one of three remaining All-Star spots with fans deciding which driver would fill the fourth. Early in the first race, Michael McDowell clipped Bubba Wallace, which forced the No. 43 car to slam into the wall and cause significant enough damage that even if Wallace were to ride the fan vote into the All-Star Race, he'd be unable to participate. He shared his frustrations in the follow-up interview.
Aric Almirola, William Byron and Matt DiBenidetto qualified for the All-Star Race in the Open, and Clint Bowyer won the fan vote to get in. CBS covered the race with all of the action, highlights, updated standings and more from Bristol below.
